If you already have an existing Facebook campaign you're running that you'd like to link directly to a Persosa segment, you'll want to follow these simple steps:

  1. Add the dynamic ID as a query parameter to your destination URL
  2. Create a segment in Persosa that looks for that value in the query string

For your ad's destination URL, add the appropriate dynamic ID as a query parameter. This can be the ID of the ad, ad group, campaign, etc. Read the "URL Dynamic Parameters" section of this Facebook help article to learn more.

Create a segment in Persosa

Next, create a segment in Persosa and, for the condition, choose "Query Parameter". Enter the name of the query parameter you created in the last step and, in the value field, enter the ID of the ad, ad group, or campaign that it should look for.

For example, if your destination URL as defined in Facebook looks something like this: https://www.mysite.com/?ad_id={{ad.id}} , it would end up looking something like this with the ID filled in: https://www.mysite.com/?ad_id=123456789 .

Your Persosa segment would then look like this:
